Edinburgh & Lothians Great May Day Cabaret: Join us for fabulous get together for international workers day and 125th anniversary of STUC.
Featuring a fantastic line-up, the Great May Day Cabaret is a cultural celebration of both international workers’ day and the 125th anniversary of the Scottish TUC.
Supported by Edinburgh & Lothians May Day Committee, Fair Pley, STUC, Art 27, and Peace & Justice Project.
After two years of online May Day events we expect to be back on the streets in 2022. Assemble 11.30 for a midday start at the top of Johnston Terrace – we’ll march to the Pleasance where there will be stalls, music and a rally. More details fo follow but please put the date in the diary, share the event with your friends and workmates and make sure that your union branch or campaigning groups that you have links to are organising contingents for the march.
There will be a an evening gig on 1st May – details to follow shortly.

Monday 27th, 7 – 8pm is the first organising meeting for May Day 2022. If you’d like to get involved email us and we’ll send a link for the Zoom meeting.

The final speaker at the rally was Roz Foyer, General Secretary of the Scottish Trades Union Congress. Roz spoke to the theme of the rally which was ‘A People’s Recovery’.

Penny Stone from Edinburgh CND was third up at the rally. Penny reflected on the importance of the Nuclear Ban Treaty and, as she has done for several years, provided some inspirational singing.
