Don’t forget that this year the ‪#‎mayday15‬ march is on saturday 2 May and starts from Middle Meadow Walk – assemble 11.30 to march off at midday.  Please let all your friends and workmates know about it.

Speakers at the May Day Rally – 2 May 2015

May 1st at the Pleasance

In addition to the annual march on Saturday May 2nd, this year in partnership with TradFest and the Edinburgh Folk Club we will be holding a gig at the Pleasance.  Dick Gaughan is confirmed as one of the line up of musicians.  More details soon.

Financial Appeal

The Edinburgh and Lothians May Day Committee is organising the annual March and Rally in Edinburgh on Saturday 2nd May 2015.

The May Day Committee is dependent on and has always been very grateful for any donations towards the costs of promoting this important event. We hope that your organisation might be in a position to make a contribution to the ‘Edinburgh May Day Committee’ to ensure the continued success of this popular celebration in 2015.

The theme of this year’s March and Rally will be ‘Action Against Austerity’. Grahame Smith, General Secretary of the S.T.U.C. and Cat Boyd, Peoples Assembly Against Austerity, are confirmed speakers. Further details will follow when confirmed.

For a copy of the appeal letter and details of  how to make a contribution download the appeal letter. Contributions should be made  payable to the Edinburgh May Day Committee.

Our Committee meets at 7.00 p.m. on the last Monday of each month in the Methodist Halls, Nicolson Square, Edinburgh. Your organisation is welcome to send a representative to our meetings.
